Brisbane River Regatta

Saturday weather 6 degrees rising to a comfortable 23. But watch out for the westerlies. At the rigging/ registration site there will be a coffee van and all paddlers will receive a paddler's pack. However there are no water taps on site at the rigging area so bring plenty of water, drinks and food to keep going until we are packed up and are back at the South Bank site for the free bbq and presentation.

At the presentation there are 6 lucky team draws of $250 to share between the unplaced teams (23 teams entered less 9 place getters equals a really good chance to pick up $250). Plus there are also individual lucky draws with the top draw of a GPS. BUT YOU HAVE TO BE THERE!

9.00am Registration: Rigging Area (Riverside Drive, South Brisbane)
9.30am Briefing: Rigging Area
10.30am Race Start: South Bank, Cultural Forecourt (Victoria Bridge end)
2.00pm Presentation: South Bank, Cultural Forecourt

A big thanks to Rod (Pandanus Constructions) for towing the canoes. Plan to be there by 8:00 to unload and rig. Don't be late....

Panamuna Challenge Regatta 2006

Everyone's talking about the Panamuna Regatta (18 and 19 June 2006), with many hailing it as the best yet. The change over format made for exciting racing both for spectators and crews. Congratulations and thanks to all the Panamuna members who make this event possible with special vote of thanks to Brad and Sally for shouldering the load and Carmel who managed to get full results out in excellent time.

In the words of Tracey Horan AOCRASQ

"Congratulations to Panamuna for what I think was the most fun regatta this season - and I know many would agree - so much packed into one weekend - such a huge commitment from a club. Pass on the zones thanks to your club!"

Full results and photo's are available at AOCRA SQ Zone
